The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced that the Korea Land and Housing Corp. (LH) signed a contract of KWR 4 trillion with Kuwait’s housing and welfare ministry to develop the master plan for South Saad Al-Abdullah New City in Kuwait.
In 2016, the LH announced the international competition for the new city development project and UA26 organized the consortium, comprised of a group of Korean & International urban architects & engineering firms, won the project after 8 months of prolonged proposal preparation. Our consortium with more than 15 professional firms in various fields & diverse regions sucessfully developed the winning proposal against world-class engineering firms.
The South Saad Al-Abdullah New City project is one of the nine new cities that Kuwait plans to build with the area of 64.4 square kilometers for at least 25,000 households. Since 2017 we dispatched specialists in new city development to examine the site and start design work of a master plan to construct a futuristic city connected which will be anticipated approval in 2022.
