Rhythm City as a new cultural center of Uijeongbu city is an urban development project to create a complex district of culture, tourism, shopping, and housing in the northern province of Seoul Metropolitan area. After the relocation of Camp Stanley, the restriction zone was lifted to be developed through public-private joint investment in accordance with the Urban Development Act. The completion of site construction is scheduled for August 2022.

Uijeongbu Rhythm City Co., Ltd., the project implementor, is an SPC established by Uijeongbu City, POSCO E&C, MBN Holdings, Shinsegae, YG Entertainment, and Udijahyeong with a total investment of KRW 382.4 billion. The site area of 621,774 m 2 accommodates residential (105,768 m 2 ), commercial (42,617 m 2 ), tourism (119,341 m 2 ), and urban infrastructure (328,808 m 2 ). Upon completion, it is expected to create 40,000 jobs and attract 700 billion won of private investment.

Uijeongbu IDC is currently developed with a gross floor area of 99,789.53m 2 as the largest Data Center in Korea. In connection with Carbon Zero and RE100, a sustainable plan is focused on maximizing energy efficiency. To establish an eco-friendly data center, the HVAC system is carefully designed to minimize unnecessary power wastage as well as the cooling system responding the external temperature and humidity.

Total development is planned in three phases. Phase 1 is Uijeongbu IDC including retail, cultural & assembly, and sports facilities.
